This Contract position offers a 30-hour workweek across five days and is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a positive first impression while keeping communication flowing smoothly. The person in this role will help manage visitor interactions, incoming calls, and general administrative support in a detail-focused office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet residents, visitors, and vendors in a courteous manner and direct them to the appropriate staff or department.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, respond to incoming calls promptly, and route messages accurately to ensure efficient communication.
- Handle routine front desk activities, including monitoring the reception area and maintaining an organized, detail-focused workspace.
- Provide administrative assistance such as preparing basic correspondence, filing documents, and supporting day-to-day office needs.
- Answer general questions from callers and walk-in visitors while escalating more complex matters to the appropriate team members.
- Keep records and reception-related information up to date to support smooth office operations.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination tasks as needed to help the office maintain daily workflow. Requirements
- Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer-facing administrative role.
- Comfortable handling a multi-line telephone system and managing a high volume of inbound calls.
- Strong verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented, service-oriented approach.
- Ability to stay organized, manage routine office tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work a 30-hour schedule across five days each week.
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi is a plus, but not required.
