John N. Santeiu & Son, Inc. is hiring for a receptionist position in our Garden City funeral home. This is a part-time position, offering 15-20 working hours per week. This position requires alternating morning, evening, weekend and occasional Holiday shifts.

Receptionist duties include:

Serving visitors by greeting, welcoming them, in person or on the telephone; directing them appropriately. Notifying company personnel of visitor arrival. Setting up funeral service/visiting rooms. Handling flowers, food trays, etc. for families; must be able to lift 25 pounds. Light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean facility, inside and outside. Collecting courier deliveries and mail. Ideal Candidate will have the following qualities/abilities: Friendly and polite. Multi-line telephone skills. Customer focused. Self-motivated. Ability to multitask. Handles pressure. Supply management. Excellent listening skills and polished communication skills. When our clients walk into our funeral home, we want them to find a friendly, smiling face and a helping hand. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic is a must.
