Job Description

Overview As an Insurance Verifier/Medical receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive the care they need while navigating the complexities of insurance coverage. You will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits and maintaining accurate medical records. Your attention to detail and knowledge of multiple insurance companies and procedure codes will help streamline operations and enhance patient experiences. What you'll do Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits prior to services being rendered Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies Review and update medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness Assist in the coordination of care between our office and medical billing when necessary Front desk duties: Answer phones, manage patient accounts and appointments, patient vitals, physician dictation, etc. Basic qualifications Experience in a medical office/mental health setting Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices History with online platforms such as Avility Preferred qualifications Proficiency in ICD-9, ICD-10, and medical coding practices Strong understanding of managed care systems Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as part of a team About us Join our dynamic team where your contributions matter!
