✨ About the Position We are looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Receptionist / Front Desk Coordinator to join our busy grooming salon. This role is the heart of our customer experience — you'll be the first and last face clients see, the voice on the phone, and the person who keeps our schedule running smoothly. If you love pets, people, and fast-paced days, this job is for you! Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Communication Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism Answer phones, return messages, and handle appointment requests Check pets in and out for appointments Communicate clearly with groomers to ensure accurate information Scheduling & Office Tasks Book appointments based on breed, service, time needs, and groomer availability Confirm next-day appointments Manage cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, and deposits Maintain organized records, client notes, and vaccination information Salon Flow & Support Assist with maintaining a calm, smooth drop-off/pick-up flow Notify customers when their pets are ready Handle payments, receipts, and end-of-day balancing Keep the lobby tidy, clean, and welcoming Upselling & Client Education Recommend add-on services (deshed, nail grind, teeth, spa packages) Explain salon policies, safety rules, and service guidelines Requirements Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working in a busy, loud, pet-filled environment Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Basic computer and phone system skills Must love dogs! (Seriously — you'll see dozens a day.) ⭐ Preferred but Not Required Prior grooming salon, veterinary, or pet-care experience Experience with appointment scheduling software Customer service or receptionist background
