Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient insurance coverage and collect necessary information
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of medical documentation
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
- Handle billing and payment processing for services rendered
- Manage office supplies and maintain a clean reception area
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries and concerns effectively
- Knowledge of medical administrative support procedures and medical records management
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
