Job Description
Job Summary We are a fast-paced, high volume medical offce seeking an experienced, energetic, detail-oriented and dependable Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This role is critical to the daily flow of our office and requires excellent multitasking, communication, and customer service skills. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure; remains professional with patients at all times, and can manage multiple priorities efficiently. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally in person and by phone Manage a high volume of incoming calls (scheduling, questions, messages) Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments accurately Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and collect co-pays Check patients in and out efficiently while maintaining accuracy Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations Handle busy check-in periods while keeping patient wait times moving Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and management Scan, file, and maintain patient records as needed Assist with other front office duties in a team-based environment Experience Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical front office preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment Strong multitasking and organizational skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Comfortable using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems) Reliable, punctual, and professional appearance and demeanor Ability to remain calm and courteous with difficult or upset patients Experience in a medical setting Knowledge of medical terminology Computer skills Prescribing familiarity Insurance verification and prior authorization experience What we offer Supportive team-oriented work environment Competitve pay based on experience Paid time off and holidays Opportunity for long-term employment Participation in 401(k), but no employer matching How to apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter describing your relevant experience.
