Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and personable individual to fill a customer facing role as receptionist with a security background in a high volume and professional environment. This individual needs to be very personable, organized, and have a background in security (including a security license). The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 0600-1400. We have an immediate need to fill this role and will look to move quickly with the right candidate! About us Premium Investigations provides new and seasoned unarmed security officers the opportunity to learn and grow in an essential industry. Our security officers keep safe and secure our clients' sites, employees, and visitors. We develop, through extensive training, confident security officers capable of handling some of the most complex site security plans and post orders. Our training academy is what sets Premium Investigations apart. Located in our corporate headquarters, we offer the NYS required training course as well BLS, De-Escalation/Defensive Tactics, Site Specific/Cross Training, and Advanced Security Officer BIP. A client's greatest asset is a highly trained security officer that is both competent and confident. In your capacity as a security receptionist, you will be part of a team that places great emphasis on customer service. At the end of the day, we are working for the pleasure of the client. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma, GED or at least 3 years of verifiable security officer experience Eligible to work in the United States 18 years of age or older Must be a licensed security officer in the state they wish to work Show respect, demonstrate humility, and be willing to learn Minimum 2 years in a customer service or front facing administrative role Skills and Experience Excellent knowledge of security protocols Ability to operate security systems and emergency equipment Exceptional interpersonal skills Advanced verbal and written communication skills Ability to work alone or as part of a team Ability to solve problems as they arise Attention to detail Ability to react appropriately in stressful situations Excellent computer, phone, time management, and multitasking skills Security Receptionist Duties Present yourself in a professional manner, providing exceptional customer service Confirm access credentials for all visitors and provide badges to all visitors Check in and log all visitors and contractors to the facility Communicate with staff upon visitor arrival to ensure timely receiving of guests Effectively manage multiple emails Check in all deliveries Conduct patrols both manually or by vehicle, when necessary Contact security management regarding any incidents on site Complete incident reports as necessary Provide the highest levels of customer service to our clients and their staff by performing written safety and security protocols and procedures specific to their site In the event of an emergency, perform appropriate emergency response activities When responding to both critical and non-critical situations, an ability to remain calm and demonstrate a commanding presence Be honest! Be present! We are the first line of defense, and our clients and staff look to us for leadership and direction Complete other tasks assigned tasks as needed Physical Requirements Ability to move about the job site for extended periods of time. Ability to work effectively in a stationary position when completing required office work. Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery. Ability to climb, twist, stoop, bend, and reach (over shoulders, at waist and below waist), grasp, and occasionally run or climb/descend stairs in response to emergency conditions. Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions associated with dealing with hostile individuals in volatile and dangerous situations will require sufficient strength and flexibility to physically apprehend or subdue a person or to confiscate forbidden articles or weapons. Substantial in-person contact with the public and law enforcement agencies require the ability to communicate effectively. Hearing adequate to communicate on the telephone and in person and to hear and understand radio communications and audible alarms. Exertion of force up to 50 pounds intermittently, 35 pounds occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently to lift/carry/move objects, files, and other materials.
