Job Description

Veterinary Receptionist Position - Our busy practice is growing, and we are looking for a full time receptionist to add to our friendly, caring and enthusiastic team in LaFayette NY, a short drive from downtown Syracuse. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our practice. A successful receptionist will be friendly, outgoing, compassionate, efficient, punctual and a dependable team player. The position requires strong multitasking, prioritizing, and organizational skills. You should be able to handle urgent situations in a timely, calm and effective manner. We are looking for a self-starter with initiative who is able to perform tasks without supervision. Hours are mostly 9AM to 6PM with one to two Saturdays a month from 9AM to 12PM. Pay dependent on experience. Prior veterinary reception experience strongly preferred. Please no phone calls. Include a cover letter in your application.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Answering multi-line telephones Greeting clients Preparing and maintaining patient files Receiving and relaying client correspondence through phone, email, fax and text accurately Answer client inquiries about basic animal care Assisting clients with checking out Scheduling appointments Proficient with computer systems and veterinary practice management software Positive attitude, reliable, and strong attention to detail
