Job Description
Total Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is a leader in orthopedic care on Long Island, dedicated to helping patients return to their active lifestyles. With state-of-the-art facilities and a commitment to exceptional patient care. Total Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is a multi-office provider of musculoskeletal care. We are searching for a full time front desk receptionist . As a key member of our front desk support team, you will rotate across our current offices in Massapequa, East Meadow, Deer Park, and Syosset, Commack, and Babylon. Candidate should be available on weekends .
•Bilingual is a plus
•Job overview : Meets and greets patients, announces, directs and escorts to appropriate area. Inputs patient information and demographics into computer system. Checking patients in/out Checking patient insurance eligibility Answers, screens and direct calls to the appropriate areas. Schedules patient appointments Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing and mailing as required. Keeps reception area organized. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues. Performs other related duties assigned by senior management.
Requirements:
Experience within a medical office Knowledge of insurance companies, No Fault and Workers' Compensation Knowledge of EHR Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between our Long Island offices. Excellent organizational and communication skills Knowledge of orthopedic spine terminology a definite plus

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
