Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Fairborn Vision Center. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for our patients while supporting both front desk operations and basic clinical duties. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting. Previous experience in customer service or a medical/optometry office is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage calendars Verify insurance information and assist with basic billing inquiries Maintain accurate patient records and handle data entry Perform pre-testing procedures (such as auto-refraction, visual acuity, and preliminary screenings) Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for the doctor Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow Process payments and handle front desk transactions Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming What We're Looking For Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Basic computer skills and comfort with office software Willingness to learn clinical pre-testing procedures Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Experience in a medical or optometry office is a plus Join our team as a Front Desk Receptionist and be the friendly face that sets the tone for every patient's visit!
