About Us Gale's Towing & Recovery has proudly served Yamhill County and the surrounding communities since 1992. With over three decades of trusted service, we specialize in light-duty, heavy-duty, and specialty towing. Our team works closely with the Local, County, and State Police Departments and the local Fire Departments to provide dependable, professional service 24/7. At Gale's Towing & Recovery, we are proud to be a valued part of our community—committed to safety, integrity, and exceptional customer care. Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and dependable Dispatcher to join our operations team. This position plays a key role in coordinating towing and recovery services by communicating efficiently between customers, drivers, and emergency service partners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position Monday thru Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, including customer requests, law enforcement calls, and service inquiries
- Dispatch tow trucks and coordinate driver assignments to ensure timely and efficient service
- Monitor and track driver locations, job status, and response times using dispatch software or GPS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs, reports, and service documentation
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, drivers, and management throughout each job
- Provide accurate estimates for service times and costs
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and scheduling
- Maintain a professional demeanor during high-volume or time-sensitive situations Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience as a dispatcher , customer service representative , or in a fast-paced office environment preferred
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
- Proficient with computers and office software (Microsoft Office Suite required)
- Experience with dispatch or GPS tracking software is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Familiarity with the towing or transportation industry preferred
