Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a friendly Part-time Front Office Receptionist who has a passion for helping teens with mental health struggles! We're a small team of 5 people serving 20-30 teens a week experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, substance use, self-harm, and/or trauma. This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, organized, and outgoing. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing front desk operations. Your positive attitude and strong organizational skills will help ensure smooth clinic flow from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This can also be a good opportunity for someone looking to explore a career in counseling or therapy. Duties Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression Manage patient check-in and check-out processes using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems AdvancedMD. Schedule appointments and coordinate provider calendars with precision and professionalism Answer multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette and direct calls appropriately Verify patient insurance coverage, including health insurance knowledge related to Medicare and HIPAA compliance Collect and process payments, perform medical collection tasks, and handle billing inquiries Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure confidentiality in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and document review Desired Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for documentation and communication purposes Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and clinical confidentiality policies Experience with medical scheduling, phone communication, and front desk operations in a healthcare setting Ability to perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining organized medical records Strong computer skills combined with attention to detail for documentation review and accuracy in medical records management Join us in delivering outstanding patient experiences while advancing your career in healthcare administration!
