Job Description
About us Breakaway Chiropractic is a busy, independently owned chiropractic clinic in Frisco since 2011. Our front desk isn't a reception area — it's the heartbeat of the practice. You're the first voice patients hear, the first face they see, and often the reason they keep coming back. We're a small, tight-knit team that genuinely likes working together, and we're looking for one more person who fits that. What you'll do Greeting and check in patients, set the tone for their entire visit, and keep the schedule moving Answer phones, return calls, and convert inquiries into booked appointments Verify insurance benefits and eligibility before visits, including VA Community Care patients through TriWest Collect copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances — comfortably and without flinching Manage the daily schedule, confirmations, reschedules, and no-show follow-up Drive patient compliance — help patients stay on their recommended plans, rebook before they leave, and follow up when they fall off Recommend and sell our in-house products (supports, pillows, supplements, and more) when they'll genuinely help a patient Keep patient records, intake paperwork, and documentation accurate and current Use our practice software, AI tools, and other tech to work faster and smarter Handle five things at once during a full patient day without dropping any of them Who you are Great with people. You make patients feel remembered and cared for, not processed. A strong communicator. Clear, warm, and professional in person, on the phone, and in writing. High energy and positive. You bring the good mood; you don't wait for someone else to bring it. Detail-obsessed. Wrong insurance info, a missed digit, a typo in a chart — those things bother you. Comfortable asking for money. You can say "your balance today is $85, how would you like to take care of that?" without hesitating or apologizing. Organized. You have a system, and you actually follow it. A natural multitasker. Phone ringing, patient at the counter, doctor needing something — you handle it. Assertive. You take ownership, ask questions, hold patients to the schedule, and speak up when something's off. Tech-savvy. You learn new software quickly and aren't intimidated by it. Real experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) is a big plus. Good with numbers. Copays, deductibles, coverage percentages, and daily totals make sense to you. A quick learner. We'll teach you chiropractic and insurance; we can't teach you how to pick things up fast. Living an active lifestyle. We're a health and movement practice, and it helps to genuinely believe in what we do here. Willing to recommend. You're comfortable telling a patient why they should finish their care plan or try a product we carry — because you believe it will help them, not because you're reading a script. Experience in a medical or chiropractic front office and with insurance verification is preferred, but the right personality and work ethic matter more to us than a specific résumé. What we offer $18-$23 per hour based on experience, plus bonus potential A four-day work week — Monday through Thursday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM with a full hour for lunch, and a three-day weekend every single week 10 paid time-off days per year, plus paid holidays
