Gavino Dermatology is a fast-growing independently owned dermatology clinic searching for a reliable Front Desk and Administrative Care Member to join our office team. We take pride in providing friendly, compassionate experiences for our patients with each visit. Our family atmosphere creates a comfortable experience for all visitors and employees alike. Candidates should be professional, punctual, with a high work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a pleasant, friendly/compassionate demeanor, able to quickly adapt to changes and has previous experience in a dermatology practice office setting.Responsibilities :
Answer patient inquiries using proper telephone etiquette, recording legible and complete messages, handling questions, contacting physicians, insurance companies, diagnostic facilities, billing or collections departments, as necessary all while maintaining patient confidentiality. Review intake information to verify insurance coverage, charts, referrals/authorizations and take appropriate action to assure proper maximal reimbursement. Ensure all patient demographic and insurance information is fully recorded. Communicates effectively, courteously and demonstrates a caring attitude toward patients and their families. Also, assist the physicians and/or administrators in all business and patient care responsibilities. Responsible for scheduling new and follow-up appointments including patient testing, while following proper patient scheduling guidelines. Identify and collect co-pays, deductibles and other payments and reconcile patient payments daily. Placing received cash or checks into lockbox and maintain accurate daily receipt journal. Preparing billing sheets to ensure they contain necessary information needed to create an insurance claim - such as physician name and number, patient name and number, insurance code, referring physician code and any other required information. Knowledge in handling prescriptions and biologic medications is helpful but is not necessary. Assistance team members when needed and performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Skills:
- Familiarity with medical terminology, prescriptions and biologic medications.
- Competent and proficient with basic computer abilities.
- Experience with EMR, HIPAA, data entry and patient record keeping.
- Excellent verbal and written communications abilities.
