DOG GROOMING SALON RECEPTIONIST
(& BOOKKEEPER) Sharing 9:00 AM to 3:00-5:00 PM Shifts Thursday toTuesday Position Description:
Be the friendly face when people come into our salon and the cheerful voice on the phone when our clients call to book an appointment. Our salon opens every day except Wednesday at 9:00 AM, and we close when the last dog goes home, usually between 3:00 and 5:00 PM. We are closed on Wednesdays (for now). This is an excellent job for a student that wants to study in between client interactions and other work duties including keeping the front entrance clean and welcoming, and assisting with the company bookkeeping. Qualifications for thePosition:
A love for dogs is a must! You will manage the front desk on your own. We need a driven, self-motivated, outgoing person to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have great compassion for animals, extraordinary pet parent service, excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a love for technology (because we use a lot of tech). There cam be some downtime when the phone is not ringing, and clients are not checking in or checking out. During this time, the successful candidate can assist with the company bookkeeping and then spend time studying, if they are enrolled in post-secondary education or another program offering self-growth instruction. Hours for thePosition:
The salon opens at 9:00 AM Thursday to Tuesday and is closed on Wednesdays. The receptionist arrives 10-15 minutes before 9:00 to open the salon, and can leave when the last groomer goes home and the last dog is picked up. The qualified candidate must work at least one Saturday or Sunday each week. Currently, we need someone for Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday because the Sunday shift is already covered and we are closed on Wednesdays. Skills for thePosition:
We are looking for a team player who can work independently, open and close the store on their own, reliably arrive at work before 9:00 and be ready to receive our clients, keep the space clean and looking good, keep the clients happy, manage the schedule, help our groomers get through their busy day, and assist with the company bookkeeping. It is also very important to keep the schedule as full as you can because that keeps everyone busy and pays the bills. Why work at Lakeway Village Square Grooming?
