Parents are empowered to partner with providers in their child's care, and families travel from across the DFW area to experience Shine. Position Overview As a Medical Receptionist at Shine , you are the first friendly face (and voice) our patients encounter. From greeting families at check-in to supporting them through scheduling and supplement purchases, you set the tone for their Shine experience. This is more than a front desk role—it's an opportunity to serve children and families in a meaningful way. What You'll Do Warmly welcome and check in patients, verify insurance, update demographics, and collect payments.
Support patients at check-out:
collect payments, schedule follow-up visits, and assist with supplement sales. Answer and triage phone calls, texts, and portal messages with professionalism and care. Help guide families through registration and troubleshoot patient portal issues. Provide excellent customer service—whether in person, over the phone, or via messaging. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent. 2-3 years of experience as a medical receptionist (preferred in pediatrics). Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). Comfort working with technology, including Google Workspace and Microsoft Office. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and handle a high volume of communication with patience and professionalism. A people-person who enjoys interacting with families and loves serving children!
