COMPANY OVERVIEW
Hill Country Dermatology was established in November 2001 to serve the citizens of New Braunfels and the surrounding communities. Currently, the practice provides medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatological services and is experiencing rapid growth.
BASIC FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect copays and coinsurance Read and understand insurance benefits Explain to patients what their financial responsibilities will be Enter patient demographics into the EMR accurately and efficiently. Scan medical information into EMR. Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner. Schedule patient appointments according to office protocol. Filter through received faxes and deliver to correct staff member
JOB DIMENSIONS - RESPONSIBILITY
The checkout receptionist will work with four providers. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven ability and experience in organizing front office workflow and duties. Demonstrates flexibility in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to communicate professionally, including face to face, email, and telephone with clinicians, medical assistants, allied health staff, administrative staff, frontline staff, contractors, governmental agencies, insurance payers, patients, family members of patients, and the general public, of all age levels from child to senior citizen. Demonstrates knowledge of HIPAA law. Proven problem-solving skills, is proactive, and anticipates needs well. Proven ability to set priorities. Proven skill in using healthcare software and computer systems. General office and or medical office experience required to be considered.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW PRACTICES
A performance review is performed at 30, 60, 90 days, and every six months after that.
COMPENSATION REVIEW PLAN
A review for compensation will be performed every year.
SALARY PAY PERIODS
The pay periods are on a biweekly basis.
BENEFITS
After a ninety-day probation period:
Health Insurance:
Available through Blue Cross Blue Shield. The company pays 75% of the insurance premium for the employee. Vacation (PTO): PTO hours will be accrued.
Holidays Per Year:
8 401
K/Retirement Plan:
Eligible after one year of employment.
MEDICAL/DRUG TESTING
Pre-employment drug test and background screening will be required of finalist candidates.
ORIENTATION PROCESS FOR NEW HIRE
One on one training with experienced front office personnel.
Job Type:

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
