In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact, managing patient check-ins, verifying insurance coverage, and supporting the clinic's daily functions with enthusiasm and professionalism. Your proactive attitude will help streamline patient flow, facilitate accurate documentation, and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical administrative support within a fast-paced clinic setting. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and efficient check-in process Verify insurance coverage using portals such as United Healthcare,Cigna, Availity, Trizetto and other insurance portals. Review and update patient information accurately within various EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Schedule appointments efficiently coordinating with clinical staff to optimize patient flow Collect and process payments related to insurance co-pays or outstanding balances while maintaining detailed documentation review procedures Support medical records management by filing documents correctly and ensuring all paperwork complies with legal and organizational standards Experience Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred, especially in roles involving front desk or administrative support within clinics Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems and Insurance Verification Portals Strong knowledge of insurance verification processes including Medicare, Medicaid and private. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills to create a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors Experience handling medical billing or medical collection tasks is advantageous but not required Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Join us in delivering outstanding patient care through exceptional administrative support!
