Minimum $13.79, Midpoint $17.24, Maximum $20.69
Primary Purpose:
Provide customer service, reception, and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the central administrative offices. Provide communication and clerical assistance for the human resources and professional learning department.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills
Effective organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets, maintain databases, and perform word processing
Proficiency in speaking, translating and writing Spanish, preferred
Experience:
One-year related experience
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Reception and Communication
Provide courteous customer service and communicate effectively with visitors, callers, and staff.
Greet and direct administration office visitors.
Receive calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
Assist Spanish speaking visitors and callers through verbal translation and provide Spanish translation of written and electronic documents for various departments and programs. Maintain familiarity with District initiatives and information and assist callers and visitors with inquiries.
Demonstrate cooperation and a positive attitude by working effectively with others.
Effectively and positively articulate the District's mission and goals.
Clerical Support
Operate identification badge equipment and assist employees and others with badges.
Prepare correspondence, memos, and reports.
Maintain physical and computerized files.
Assist human resources and professional learning department staff with clerical tasks and projects.
Compile and submit payroll and leave reports in a timely manner.
Sort and distribute mail and receive deliveries for District offices.
Maintain department supplies, materials, and equipment.
Book travel for professional learning events when needed.
Help maintain the calendar of the assistant superintendent and director of Human Resources when needed. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality of information.
Budget
Assist with the preparation of the department budget. Perform routine bookkeeping in maintaining budgets, processing requisitions, and reconciling accounts.

Keep informed of and comply with policies, laws, and regulations concerning primary job function.
Maintain familiarity with district initiatives to better serve the district and community.
Participate in professional learning, staff meetings, and special events as assigned.
