Bridgerland Technical College is seeking a Substitute Receptionist to join our team in Logan, Utah. This flexible, as-needed position offers an opportunity to serve as the welcoming face of the college while supporting students, staff, faculty, and community members. As a Substitute Receptionist, you'll play a key role in creating a positive first impression and helping ensure the smooth daily operation of our campus. From greeting visitors and answering calls to assisting with administrative tasks, you'll help connect people with the resources and information they need to succeed. About Bridgerland Technical College Bridgerland Technical College is one of Utah's eight technical colleges, serving the Bear River Region through high-quality, hands-on technical education. We prepare students for successful careers by providing practical skills training, industry partnerships, and workforce-focused education. What You'll Do As a Substitute Receptionist, you'll provide front-line support and help create a welcoming, professional experience for everyone who interacts with the college.
Key responsibilities include:
Greeting students, visitors, staff, and community members with professionalism and courtesy. Operating a multi-line telephone system and directing calls appropriately. Answering questions, responding to inquiries, and taking accurate messages. Assisting visitors with directions and connecting them to the appropriate department or individual. Performing routine clerical duties, including filing, document imaging, data entry, and word processing. Supporting administrative staff and departments with various office tasks. Maintaining confidentiality of student, employee, and college information. Organizing, prioritizing, and coordinating multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Receiving deliveries and assisting couriers and vendors. Promoting a positive image of the college through exceptional customer service. Performing additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, customer-focused, and enjoys helping others. Preferred Qualifications Previous receptionist, administrative assistant, customer service, or office support experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Experience with Microsoft Office applications and general office technology. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, staff, and community members from diverse backgrounds.
