Front Office Receptionist Cascade Foot and Ankle Center Provo, UT Job Details Full-time $17.50 an hour 8 hours ago Benefits Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Word processing Filing Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Patient interaction Quality data entry Full Job Description Job Summary The receptionist provides support to physicians while providing exceptional care to patients. The receptionist ensures that patients are welcomed in a warm and friendly manner and sees that their needs and expectations are met. Front office staff is responsible for ensuring the smooth operations in the fast paced environment of the clinic with the goal of a positive patient experience with every encounter. Responsibilities Ensure a positive patient flow and experience from entrance of facility to reception room. Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming manner Verify insurance eligibility of patients Compile medical charts, reports, mail for pick-up and any correspondence Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in EMR system; verifies accuracy of patient record Schedule and confirm patient appointments for next day Receive co-pays and payments, dispense receipts. Sell and dispense products as directed by physician. Manage payment ledger, balance cash daily. Answer telephones, direct calls to appropriate staff. Receive and route messages and documents such as laboratory results, shoes, or orthotics to appropriate staff Perform filing, charting, and scanning of necessary patient records. Promptly file patient charts, pull patient charts in time for next day appointments Perform various clerical and administrative functions such as operating phone system, voicemail system, fax machine, word processing, and EMR system Perform other duties as assigned by practice manager. Minimum Requirements This position requires verifiable, successful completion of a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated computer skills with data entry software. Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting One or more years of demonstrated customer service experience Experience working with an EMR system Basic understanding of medical terminology

$17.50 per hour
