Job Description

Intermountain Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Lymphedema Occupational Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing specialized therapy to patients with lymphedema, improving their quality of life by managing symptoms and reducing lymphatic swelling. Our ideal candidate will have experience in lymphedema management, be committed to patient care, and uphold the high standards of our health system. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing the latest in medical technology and therapies to make a meaningful difference in patient lives. Responsibilities Evaluate and develop individualized care plans for patients suffering from lymphedema. Educate patients and their families about lymphedema management and self-care techniques. Perform complete decongestive therapy including manual lymph drainage, compression bandaging, and fitting for compression garments. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes. Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in lymphedema treatment. Required Skills Expertise in the principles and practices of occupational therapy, especially in lymphedema management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work compassionately with varied patient populations. Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and applying medical bandages. Strong organizational and documentation skills.
