Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, as well as excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and their pets. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Handle medical collection processes, including processing payments and managing invoices. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Provide information to clients regarding services, procedures, and pet care advice. Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and care during examinations and treatments. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic environment. Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and basic medical procedures is essential. Familiarity with medical collection processes is a plus. Experience with dog handling, animal restraint, and pet grooming is highly desirable. Background in kennel experience or animal husbandry is advantageous. Understanding of aseptic techniques and laboratory experience is beneficial for assisting in clinical tasks. Equine experience is a plus for practices that cater to large animals. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective client interaction. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
