Front Desk Receptionist - Dental Office Part-Time | Opportunity for Dental Assistant Cross-Training We are a small, privately owned dental practice looking for a friendly, reliable, and dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a comfortable, flexible part-time position with a healthy work/life balance. We are a small office with only six other employees, so teamwork, communication, and dependability are extremely important to us. We also understand that our employees have lives and responsibilities outside of work, and we strive to be as flexible and accommodating as possible. About the Position The primary role will be working at the front desk, with the opportunity to cross-train as a Dental Assistant for the right applicant.
Front desk responsibilities include:
Answering and directing phone calls Checking patients in and out Verifying dental insurance benefits Updating patient medical histories and information Collecting patient payments Preparing the office for the following day Calling patients to confirm upcoming appointments Preparing and pulling patient charts Providing friendly and professional customer service Assisting with general administrative duties as needed Schedule Approximately 25-30 hours per week Generally 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, depending on the final appointment of the day Hours may vary from week to week and can sometimes be more or less than 25-30 hours Our doctor also practices at a second location in New York and splits his time between the two offices, so the schedule can fluctuate accordingly Please note: This position is best suited for someone who appreciates flexibility and does not require a strictly predictable number of hours or biweekly income. While we strive to provide consistent scheduling, the number of hours can vary based on the practice schedule. Who We're Looking For We are willing to train the right person! Previous dental or front-office experience is a plus, but we are more interested in finding someone who is: Reliable and dependable Friendly and personable Comfortable interacting with patients Organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask in a busy environment A strong communicator Comfortable answering phones and working with patients Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities A team player who enjoys working in a small-office environment Why Join Our Office?
