Full Job Description Job Summary:
To receive both visitors and callers, determine the nature of their business, and direct them to the appropriate Cardinal personnel. Operating the switchboard and maintaining telephone listing information; assisting staff with clerical and administrative support duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Greet customers, visitors, and guests courteously and professionally. Determine the purpose of the visit and direct the individual to the appropriate location. Answer, screen, and direct telephone callers to the appropriate personnel. Maintain an organized and professional appearance in the reception area at all times. Provide training to employees providing front desk relief and backup telephone coverage. Notify supervisor of issues/problems/needs that arise in the reception area. Open, sort, and distribute daily mail. Match packaging slips to invoices. Scan backup documents as needed for other departments. Prepare invoices and statements for mailing. Provide clerical and administrative support to all departments as needed, including data entry, preparation and editing of various documents. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities :
Excellent verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Professional demeanor. Strong administrative skills. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Products. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate tasks with competing demands. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment. Must be able to handle a high volume of calls while maintaining a professional demeanor. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. We are a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment drug screen (including for marijuana) is required.
Education and Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous switchboard and/or administrative experience preferred.
