Job Summary:
Alaska Gardens Health and Rehabilitation Center in is seeking a Receptionist to represent the community in receiving residents, staff and the public in a positive, helpful manner.
Essential Functions:
Directs residents and guests to the appropriate office for assistance, resident room, or activity area as needed. Answers the telephone promptly and directs calls to appropriate party, minimizing "holding" time. Provides clerical support to all departments, as assigned by supervisor, in a timely and organized manner. Copies, collates, and staples materials as requested. Provides support to other departments by maintaining files, assist in filing, typing labels, and other office tasks as requested. Sorts and distributes incoming mail and processes outgoing mail. Maintains strict confidentiality in all matters dealing with personnel, residents, and management issues. Ensures that work area is clean, safe, and orderly. Assists with bookkeeping and reporting functions as assigned. Accurately maintains payroll for the community. Ensures that all employees are paid correctly and timely. Completes new hire paperwork for all new employees. Ensures paperwork is completed accurately to company standards. Completes all account payable functions for the community. Maintains personnel records, background checks, E-verify and I-9's for the community.
Education, Licensure, & Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Working knowledge of office machines (copier, fax, phone systems, etc.) Good organizational and communication skills. Ability to relate positively, effectively and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other facility staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications. The responsibilities of this position involve significant physical activities including standing, lifting (up to 30 pounds unassisted), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and twisting.
