Join Our Team! We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and professional Front Desk Receptionist to become the first point of contact for our patients. We are a fast-paced, patient-focused interventional pain management practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and outstanding customer service. Position Summary The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for creating a positive first impression for every patient while ensuring efficient daily front office operations. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to multitask in a busy medical office. Responsibilities Welcome patients with a friendly and professional attitude Answer and direct incoming telephone calls Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Check patients in and out for appointments Verify demographic and insurance information Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances Scan and upload patient documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and outside medical records as needed Communicate with referring providers and outside healthcare facilities Assist with patient paperwork and registration forms Manage incoming faxes, mail, and electronic communications Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area Monitor provider schedules and assist with patient flow throughout the day Support providers and clinical staff with administrative tasks Handle difficult situations professionally while maintaining excellent customer service Participate in team meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED Minimum of 1 year of medical office or customer service experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office Ability to learn electronic medical record systems Professional appearance and positive attitude Preferred Previous medical receptionist experience Experience in pain management, orthopedics, neurology, physical medicine, or another specialty practice Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations Familiarity with EMR systems Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Friendly and compassionate Reliable and punctual Highly organized Detail-oriented Self-motivated Able to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable in a fast-paced environment Committed to providing exceptional patient care Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Frequent use of computers and office equipment Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds Frequent walking throughout the clinic Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday Day shift No evenings, weekends, or major holidays Our practice is committed to providing innovative, minimally invasive treatments while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
