Overview The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking mental health services, creating a welcoming, organized, and supportive environment. This role blends administrative coordination with compassionate client interaction, ensuring smooth daily operations and reinforcing the practice's commitment to high‑quality, client‑centered care. Responsibilities Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly. Answer phone with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and clear communication. Manage front desk operations including entering therapist's schedules, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and handling incoming correspondence. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing, proofreading, and document preparation using Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel. Maintaining cleanliness of the waiting area and ensure it is presentable. Provide customer support by addressing inquiries accurately and directing calls or messages appropriately. Skills Warm, patient, and comfortable interacting with individuals seeking mental health support. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills—clear, calm, and professional. Ability to multitask while maintaining composure.
