Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Curative Title Agent to join our dynamic real estate team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and processing title documents to ensure clear property ownership and facilitate smooth real estate transactions. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex title issues efficiently, ensuring a seamless closing process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge of real estate law and research techniques within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive research on property titles using various sources such as public records, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and title plants to verify ownership history and identify potential issues. Review and analyze title reports, legal descriptions, and related documents to determine the status of property titles. Process title curative actions by preparing necessary documentation to resolve defects or encumbrances affecting clear title transfer. Conduct outreach (as-needed) to secure curative instruments for title defects. Collaborate with law offices, title insurers, and other stakeholders to facilitate resolution of title discrepancies or legal issues. Maintain detailed records of all research activities, findings, and correspondence related to each case. Assist in the preparation of legal notices or affidavits required for title clearance or transfer. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and internal teams in a dynamic environment. Experience Proven experience working within real estate transactions or in a title agency environment. Strong knowledge of real estate law, including property rights, liens, encumbrances, and legal descriptions. Skilled in conducting detailed research using public records databases and GIS tools. Familiarity with title processing procedures and curative actions necessary for resolving title defects. Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail in document review and record keeping. Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally to clients and team members. Prior experience utilizing research tools specific to the real estate industry is highly preferred.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
