Aerial Fiber Laborer (CDL-A Preferred)

Company Overview Underground Contractors, Inc. (UCI) is seeking Aerial Fiber Laborers to support overhead fiber optic construction crews in the Toledo/Northwood, Ohio area . This role involves working with bucket trucks, aerial lifts, and utility lines , supporting the installation and maintenance of fiber optic and communication lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with aerial fiber optic installation and maintenance Work around utility poles, strand, and overhead communication lines Support Foreman and crew with daily field operations Safely operate or assist with bucket trucks and aerial lifts Transport equipment and materials to job sites (CDL preferred) Perform job site setup and maintain safe work zones Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Requirements:

Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable and safety-focused

Preferred Qualifications:

CDL-A License with Air Brake Endorsement Experience with aerial fiber, lineman work, or utility construction Experience operating bucket trucks or aerial equipment Familiarity with telecommunications or electrical line work
