Full-Time / Non-Exempt (35 Hour Work Week) Family Service Society of Yonkers (FSSY) is a community-based nonprofit organization that has served residents of Westchester and the surrounding area for over 140 years. We provide comprehensive services and programs for individuals and families of diverse backgrounds and ages. The Site Coordinator will assist in the overall administration of the Afterschool Program at designated site in Yonkers, including but not limited to: implementation of enrichment activities, advertising the program, organizing theme based projects and special events, scheduling of activities, record keeping and reporting, communicating with parents and school staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that program operation at site is smooth, efficient and in compliance with School Aged Child Care (SACC) regulations Track and achieve grant-specified program objectives Supervise approximately 15 After School Instructors Manage snack program; ensure Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) requirements are met Purchase program-related materials and track spending Maintain documents that track academic and social progress of each child in the program Complete grant required reports Create and maintain a working collaboration with program and department staff Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred At least 1-2 years of experience working with school-aged youth required 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred Bilingual (Spanish) preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel Must be available to work after school hours to at least 6:30pm Strong organizational, planning, leadership, writing, and communication skills Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Energetic, motivated self-starter and team player Valid driver's license and vehicle We offer a competitive starting salary and an excellent benefits package, including: Medical Plan eligibility after 30 days Dental, Disability, Life Insurance and Vision benefits Vacation/Personal/Sick days Pension and 403b plans Pension Plan - 5% Employer Contribution after 1 year Employer paid parking
