Afternoon Administrative Assistant Hours:
2:45 PM - 5:45 PM We are seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Afternoon Administrative Assistant to support our end-of-day operations and ensure a safe, smooth, and welcoming dismissal process for children, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities Answer phone calls and take accurate messages Buzz families and authorized individuals into the building during dismissal Verify identification of unfamiliar individuals entering the building Monitor front entrance and maintain safety and security procedures Ensure staff are able to leave at their scheduled times Communicate important family messages and teacher needs to the morning administration team Support parent sign-in and sign-out procedures as needed Maintain a calm, professional, and welcoming front desk environment Communicate with classrooms regarding parent arrivals and dismissals Assist with afternoon dismissal procedures to ensure a smooth transition Monitor lobby and entrance areas to ensure children are released only to authorized individuals Complete end-of-day organization and basic front desk duties Report any concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to administration immediately Assist with light clerical tasks as needed Support transitions, buses, classrooms, and children as needed during dismissal Qualifications Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional, dependable, and consistent attendance Ability to follow and enforce safety and security procedures Strong attention to detail for messages and communication Friendly, calm, and professional demeanor with families, children, and staff Basic computer and phone skills preferredSimilar remote jobs
