Duties Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment safely to access high branches and tree canopies for pruning or removal. Use chainsaws and hand tools to cut, trim, or remove trees with precision and adherence to safety protocols. Apply arborist rigging techniques for complex tree removals or branch removals, ensuring stability and safety throughout the process. Perform plant pruning care and tree trimming to promote healthy growth, structural integrity, and aesthetic appeal. Conduct tree removal operations efficiently while minimizing impact on surrounding landscapes or structures. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning tree care projects across designated areas. Follow all safety procedures diligently, including wearing protective gear and adhering to industry standards during outdoor work activities. Experience Prior outdoor work experience is preferred, especially in landscaping, horticulture, or arboriculture environments. Knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning, trimming, planting, and general maintenance. Familiarity with arborist rigging techniques and the safe operation of bucket trucks and chainsaws. Growing experience in horticulture or dendrology (the study of trees) is advantageous. Ability to interpret technical diagrams or maps related to land or tree management using GIS tools.
