Job Overview Nugent's Arboriculture LLC is a Pocono-area tree care and plant health care company. Owned and operated by a Certified ISA Arborist. We do climbing and rigging work (no bucket trucks — real climbing), plant health care, landscaping, mowing, and property cleanups. We specialize in Beech tree treatments, along with a wide range of other plant health diagnostics and treatments. We're a small, hands-on crew that takes pride in doing the work right. In this energetic role, you'll be actively involved in maintaining landscapes, caring for trees, and ensuring grounds are safe, vibrant, and well-manicured. Your hands-on work will help transform outdoor environments, bringing pride and beauty to every project. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in Arboriculture and horticulture. Interested candidates can also become ISA Arborist Certified, and we will pay for testing, training, and CEUS! Responsibilities Assist with planting, pruning, trimming, and removing trees and shrubs using appropriate tools and techniques. Learn skills like tree climbing, assist in rigging, cable and bracing - We will train! Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, machines and power tools safely and efficiently. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care. Apply pesticides and herbicides following safety protocols to manage pests and weeds effectively. We will train and pay for pesticide certification. Follow safety procedures diligently during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Requirements Prior outdoor work experience a plus - but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy materials, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods. Safety minded Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward landscape care and maintenance. Excellent teamwork skills with the motivation to learn new techniques.
