Job Description
Job Summary DC Tree Works is a growing, veteran owned company looking to expand our horizons and provide a superior service to our community. We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and safety-focused Tree Climber / Bucket Truck Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in tree pruning, removals, rigging, and operating aerial lift equipment. This position requires physical endurance, attention to detail, and a commitment to safe work practices while providing high-quality tree care services. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in tree and landscape maintenance while contributing to community beautification. Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment to access trees at various heights for pruning, trimming, or removal Use arborist rigging techniques to dismantle or remove hazardous or overgrown trees with precision and safety Perform plant pruning care, tree trimming, and tree removal tasks in accordance with industry standards and safety protocols Conduct landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, and general horticulture duties to support healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Apply tree care practices utilizing chainsaws, rigging gear, climbing gear and other tools while adhering strictly to safety procedures Maintain clean and organized job sites. Assist with general grounds work when needed. Experience 6 months experience as a tree climber, arborist, or bucket operator preferred. Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred but not required). Ability to safely operate bucket trucks and tree care equipment. Strong knowledge of climbing, rigging, and chainsaw safety. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work. Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. ISA Arborist Certification is a plus but not required.
