Kupu Overview Kupu is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering young adults through character building, service learning, and environmental stewardship. Our mission is to equip young adults with essential career skills, life skills, and ecological knowledge to foster success as individuals and community members. Program Offerings Kupu is seeking motivated, passionate, and community-minded young professionals to join our conservation programs through the Kupu Common Application . Selected applicants may be considered for a variety of conservation and environmental stewardship opportunities, including programs such as: Kupu ʻĀina Corps (KAC) Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) Kupu Trail Crews Nā Manu ʻElele Participants will serve alongside conservation professionals, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community partners to mālama ʻāina through habitat restoration, native species protection, trail management, environmental education, community engagement, and leadership development. Responsibilities vary by placement but may include: Restoring and maintaining native ecosystems and habitats Controlling invasive plant and animal species Building, repairing, and maintaining trails Supporting watershed, forest, coastal, and wildlife conservation efforts Participating in environmental education and community outreach activities Assisting with conservation research, monitoring, and data collection Engaging in cultural stewardship and place-based learning opportunities Attending professional development, leadership training, and service-learning activities Collaborating with diverse teams, community members, and partner organizations Preferred Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (requirements may vary by program) Ability to provide your own housing and transportation accommodations Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor duties, including hiking, lifting, carrying equipment, and working on uneven terrain Interest in natural resource management, environmental education, biology, forestry, agriculture, cultural stewardship, renewable energy, or related fields Join us as a Kupu Program Participant to make a tangible difference in ʻāina stewardship while developing your skills in your career interest.
