Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems to ensure optimal water efficiency and healthy landscapes. Your expertise will help clients achieve lush, vibrant lawns and gardens through precise irrigation management and system optimization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on new irrigation system installation projects, perform routine irrigation maintenance, and provide exceptional customer service to clients. Your hands-on mechanical knowledge and familiarity with irrigation equipment will be key to success in this role. Responsibilities Install new irrigation systems, including piping, controllers, sprinklers, and valves, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Conduct regular irrigation system maintenance to prevent issues and promote efficient water use. Troubleshoot system problems using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques to identify faults or inefficiencies. Repair irrigation equipment, including replacing faulty parts, adjusting sprinkler heads, and repairing damaged piping or wiring. Perform excavation work for installation or repair projects while adhering to safety standards. Manage automated irrigation control systems to optimize watering schedules based on soil science data and landscape needs. Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape maintenance plans. Provide excellent customer service by explaining system operations, maintenance procedures, and addressing client concerns professionally. Experience Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation projects and ongoing maintenance. Mechanical knowledge of irrigation equipment, power tools, hand tools, and related hardware is essential. Familiarity with electrical diagnostics for troubleshooting automated control systems. Experience in excavation work related to irrigation installation or repair projects is preferred. Knowledge of landscaping principles, soil science, horticulture, lawn care, and landscape maintenance practices. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics related to irrigation systems. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
