Duties Install new irrigation systems, including automated control units, sprinkler heads, valves, and piping, ensuring precise setup for optimal coverage. Perform routine maintenance on existing irrigation equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation. Troubleshoot system issues using electrical diagnostics and system troubleshooting techniques to identify faults quickly. Repair irrigation system components such as valves, controllers, pumps, and pipes with appropriate hand tools and power tools. Conduct excavation work safely for system installation or repair projects while adhering to safety standards. Collaborate with landscaping teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into landscape maintenance and lawn care plans. Provide expert advice to clients on irrigation management practices, soil science considerations, and landscape watering schedules. Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in irrigation equipment installation and repair projects. Familiarity with automated irrigation control systems and electrical diagnostics related to irrigation systems. Experience in excavation work and operating power tools safely. Knowledge of soil science, horticulture, landscaping, and general lawn care practices. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to manage multiple irrigation system troubleshooting or repair projects efficiently. Prior experience in irrigation management or landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
