Greenhouse Assistant Gardens at Cheshire - 3.0 Cheshire, CT Job Details Temporary $17 - $18 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Floor cleaning Pesticide spraying Clean workspace maintenance Greenhouse cultivation Full Job Description Greenhouse Assistant 6-8 weeks Overview Looking for Greenhouse Assistant to help the Plant Health Coordinator do tasks around the greenhouse. Duties/Responsibilities Report to Plant Health Coordinator about container plants in the greenhouse. Assist PLH to identify common house plant insects/if plants have a problem Prune different varieties of plants, spanning from perennials to tropicals (Use of sheers and electric hand saw) Write tags that identify plants by client name(Good penmanship is
REQUIRED
) Watering/Fertilizing Ability to be on feet for long periods of time Ability to lift 25+lbs Cleaning/Sweeping greenhouse Spraying ONLY organic pesticides(Will train) Specifications A worker does NOT need to have a plethora of knowledge about plants, willingness to learn through training/guidance is a plus.
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
