Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Farm Hand/Laborer/Operator to join our dynamic agricultural team. This vital role involves hands-on work across various farm operations, including animal care, equipment operation, maintenance, and general farm duties. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for farming, a strong work ethic, and a passion for sustainable agriculture. Duties Operate agricultural machinery such as tractors, forklifts, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to support daily farm activities. Assist with livestock management, including feeding, watering, health monitoring, and handling animals such as cattle, horses, or poultry. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and machinery using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge. Support animal husbandry practices by ensuring proper sheltering, cleaning enclosures, and maintaining animal health standards in accordance with safety regulations. Handle manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy loads, planting crops, harvesting produce, and greenhouse work as needed. Supervise or assist with farm workers during various projects to ensure safety standards are maintained across all operations. Maintain detailed records of animal care activities, equipment repairs, and daily farm operations to ensure smooth workflow. Requirements Proven experience in farming or agricultural environments with knowledge of crop cultivation and livestock management. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery including tractors, forklifts, and other farm equipment safely. Strong mechanical skills with experience in equipment repair, welding, and basic maintenance tasks. Familiarity with animal husbandry practices and livestock handling techniques. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and outdoor physical work in varying weather conditions Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to ensure a secure workplace for all team members. Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and performing routine maintenance on farm machinery. Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping; experience with MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) is advantageous. Strong outdoor work ethic with excellent animal handling skills and attention to detail in farm operations.
