Were looking for a dependable, hardworking Farm Hand to join our team for a full-time, year-round position. Position Summary The Farm Hand works alongside the farm team to help with the day-to-day work of a small regenerative organic farm. This is a hands-on, physical position involving crop production, harvesting, livestock care (chickens), farm maintenance, and general farm tasks. The Farm Hand will work under the direction of the Farm Manager/Owners. Duties will vary seasonally based on what is needed on the farm.

Primary Responsibilities:

Vegetable Production Seed and transplant crops Weed, cultivate, mulch, and maintain crop beds Help maintain irrigation Harvest vegetables Wash, pack, label, and store produce Report problems, damage, pests, or disease to the Farm Manager Livestock Care Assist with chicken maintenance - feeding and watering, cleaning and maintaining coops, shelters, and animal areas. Farm Maintenance & General Labor Clear fallen branches, palm fronds, and other debris Rake and maintain pathways and work areas Help keep the nursery, tool shed, wash/pack area, and other farm spaces clean and organized Clean and properly store tools and equipment Assist with general farm maintenance and groundskeeping Safely use hand tools, wheelbarrows, carts, small power tools, and other farm equipment as trained General Farm Support Record harvest quantities and other basic information as requested Follow farm safety, food-safety, and animal-care safety procedures Follow instructions and communicate any problems or needs to the Farm Manager Help where needed to keep the farm operating smoothly

Physical Requirements:

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, squat, and perform physical work for extended periods Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat, humidity, and normal weather conditions Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks Ability to work safely around farm animals (chickens)

Work Environment:

Primarily outdoors on a working farm Exposure to heat, humidity, insects, dirt, and uneven ground Early mornings and occasional weekend work may be required depending on the season Employees will not be expected to work during unsafe weather conditions

Farm work changes with the seasons and everyday looks different - employees may be asked to help with other reasonable farm tasks as needed.
