Full Job Description Now hiring, Herdsman Katie Colin Farm is currently looking to fill a Herdsman position in Kingston, GA and Cedartown, GA to help manage the cattle herd. Need to be able to AI breed, doctor cattle, and maintain pastures and facilities. The position will work directly under the supervision of our General Manager and be expected to assist and perform a variety of tasks throughout the year including but not limited to, calving season, breeding season, routine vaccinations & health treatments, annual sale preparation, feeding the cow herd, operating hay equipment, pasture mowing and spraying, fence building and repair as well as maintenance of equipment. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work independently as well as with a team. In addition, the candidate must have a good work ethic and understand that work will be required on weekends and sometimes holidays during calving and breeding season. Experience in with Cattle, operating tractors, mowers and other farm equipment is a requirement along with valid driver's license. Salary $30,000 – $50,000/yr based on experience and qualifications.
