Duties Operate agricultural tractors, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery such as forklifts, irrigation systems, and power tools to perform planting, harvesting, and maintenance tasks Conduct routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on farm machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance Assist with livestock handling, animal care, and animal husbandry activities including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring Support farm infrastructure projects through welding, equipment repair, and mechanical troubleshooting using hand tools and power tools Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of supplies, feed, or equipment components in accordance with safety standards Oversee irrigation systems and horticultural activities such as greenhouse management or growing experience tasks Supervise team members when applicable, providing guidance on safe equipment operation and farm procedures while maintaining a focus on safety standards in production Skills Proven experience operating farm machinery including tractors, heavy equipment, and specialized tools Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance on agricultural machinery Familiarity with livestock management practices including animal handling and animal husbandry techniques Experience with welding, equipment repair, and MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) tasks in an agricultural setting Knowledge of safety standards related to outdoor work environments and heavy equipment operation Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while lifting heavy loads or working in physically demanding conditions Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to irrigation or planting schedules Hands-on experience with horticulture or greenhouse operations is a plus This role is perfect for individuals passionate about farming who possess a strong work ethic combined with technical skills.
