A Farm, Nursery, or Greenhouse Worker propagates, cultivates and harvests plants, primarily flowers, trees, shrubs and sod, and other crops such as mushrooms that are grown in greenhouses, or grows and harvests farm crops such as grain, fruit or vegetables. Operates and maintains equipment used to grow and harvest plants and crops. Cares for animals including dairy cows or chickens, pigs or other animals raised for meat.

Job Description

```Duties```
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, plows, and harvesters.
  • Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks as required, such as loading and unloading supplies or moving livestock.
  • Assist with animal care duties, including feeding, grooming, and cleaning animal enclosures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of farm buildings, equipment, and tools.
  • Perform basic math calculations for measuring quantities of feed, fertilizer, or other materials. ```Requirements```
  • Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural setting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate power tools and farm machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks.
  • Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring quantities of materials.
  • Knowledge of animal care practices is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to farming and agriculture.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment repair is desirable.
