Job Description A Preservation Specialist is responsible for manicuring our dried, cured flower to the quality and standards of Pleasantrees. Reporting to the Director of Cultivation, the Preservation Specialist will help to maintain quality standards for all products grown within the facility. Responsibilities Manicure buds carefully and to exact specifications Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task Maintaining and cleaning workstation, tools, and room each day Responsible for identifying quality issues with the flower Able to identify molds, mildews, bugs, etc. Product knowledge of each strain that will be produced under the Pleasantrees brand Debudding and sorting of flower prior to trimming Manicure the flower each day removing all organic matter that is unneeded while preserving the natural form of the bud Required to maintain a speed of 300 grams per hour during the processing of flower Comfortable working next to others and be respectful of others' workspace and environment. Experience and Requirements Trimming and/or cannabis experience preferred Ability to work overtime dependent on the demand Must be able to take constructive criticism from managers to maintain quality standards and production goals Must show up on time for work every day ready to work and maintain a standard of personal hygiene for processing marijuana flower Minimum of 21 years of age High school diploma or its equivalent preferred but not required Must pass criminal background check and drug screening (excludes THC) Must be compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry Ability to stand, sit, kneel and lift equipment or plants up to 25lbs for extended periods of time Knowledge of basic computer skills Pleasantrees provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
