Duties Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, edgers, and other landscaping tools safely and efficiently to maintain lawns and landscaped areas. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, edging, and weed control to enhance outdoor aesthetics. Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to ensure proper care and health management. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to protect plant health while minimizing environmental impact. Conduct routine inspections of grounds for hazards or maintenance needs, ensuring safety protocol adherence at all times. Maintain equipment through regular cleaning, fueling, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance during outdoor work. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience or background in grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred. Mechanical knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment operation is essential. Strong understanding of horticulture principles, plant identification, and lawn care techniques. Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, tree care including trimming, and hardscape features is a plus. Ability to follow safety procedures diligently while operating equipment in outdoor environments. Excellent physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
