Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dependable Farmhand to assist with daily farm operations during the winter season, starting in November. This role is essential for maintaining the health and well-being of farm animals and ensuring the smooth functioning of farm chores in winter conditions. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in cold weather. Responsibilities Providing daily feed and water to farm animals, ensuring their nutritional needs are met consistently. Shoveling snow and blowing snow to maintain clear pathways around the farm for safety and accessibility. Assisting with general farm maintenance tasks as needed, including cleaning stalls and managing equipment. Supporting other seasonal chores that contribute to the overall operation of the farm during winter months. Ensuring safety protocols are followed while working in outdoor winter conditions. Qualifications Previous experience working on a farm or in a similar agricultural setting is preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks such as shoveling snow, lifting feed bags, and handling farm equipment. Comfortable working outdoors in cold weather and in varying winter conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions carefully. Strong work ethic with a focus on animal care and safety. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in farm operations during the winter season while contributing to a well-maintained and caring farm environment.
