About the Role We are launching a new urban farming project in the heart of Port Richmond and need an experienced hands-on person to help build it from the ground up. This is not a routine maintenance job — you will be directly involved in starting and growing a real production nursery and farm that supplies local restaurants and markets. Key Responsibilities Help design, set up, and operate indoor greenhouse and outdoor growing systems Grow plants from propagation through harvest (herbs, tropicals, and specialty crops) Manage daily nursery operations: watering, fertilizing, pruning, pest/disease monitoring, and plant health Assist with both greenhouse (indoor) and outdoor production Support sales efforts — prepare plants/produce for market and help with local restaurant and wholesale outreach Maintain clean, organized, and productive growing spaces Contribute ideas and practical knowledge as we scale the operation Required Experience Proven experience growing and selling plants or produce (farm, nursery, greenhouse, or market garden) Hands-on nursery experience (propagation, transplanting, inventory, plant care) Experience growing both inside greenhouses and outdoors Comfortable with physical work in a startup farm environment Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently once trained on our systems Preferred (But Not Required) Hydroponic or controlled-environment growing experience Knowledge of herbs commonly used in Asian/Vietnamese cuisine Previous experience selling to restaurants or farmers markets

Pay:

$15.00 - $20.00 per hour
