About Calihouse Calihouse is an up-and-coming indoor cannabis cultivator based in Desert Hot Springs, operating, with up to 10,000 sq ft of indoor canopy and expanding. We're building a reputation for quality, compliance, and innovation in climate control and plant health. Desert Hot Springs offers a favorable regulatory environment, and Calihouse is positioned to grow (literally and figuratively) in this emerging market. Position Overview The Cultivation Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cannabis cultivation, from propagation to harvest, ensuring high-quality yields and compliance with state regulations. This role combines technical horticulture expertise with leadership and operational management to drive consistent results in a regulated industry. Responsibilities Lead, train, and manage the cultivation team, ensuring adherence to SOPs and compliance requirements. Oversee plant care including feeding, pruning, pest management, and environmental control. Manage crop scheduling, canopy planning, and plant health monitoring for optimal yields. Track and analyze cultivation metrics (growth cycles, yields, pest/disease issues) to improve efficiency and quality. Ensure compliance with state and local regulations, maintaining accurate records in METRC or other seed-to-sale systems. Collaborate with executive leadership on production forecasts, budgets, and facility improvements. Oversee harvest processes, including drying, curing, and transfer to post-processing teams. Maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory for cultivation operations. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in horticulture, plant science, agriculture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum 3-5 years of cannabis cultivation or controlled-environment agriculture experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of cannabis plant biology, nutrient management, IPM (Integrated Pest Management), and environmental controls. Proven ability to lead and manage teams in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. Proficiency in cultivation software, METRC, and data tracking. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Must meet all state and local licensing requirements, including background checks. Schedule & Compensation $28/hr - $32/hr based on experience. Future competitive salary based on experience. Full-time, exempt position.
