Come be a part of a small business, 70 horse boarding facility. With 90 acres and 8 full time staff, this is a chance to learn management skills and work outside. A college degree is desirable, and a proven history of working with horses, being detail oriented, a high rate of task completion in both efficiency and quality, and communication skills.

Qualifications Required :

Organized and able to multi-task Timely and ability to complete work efficiently and timely Ability to provide successful client management; prior experience handling demanding wealthy clients Ability to react quickly and problem solve issues including but not limited to facility management; staff management, and clients Prior experience working with horses, especially in dressage

• Ability to learn how to provide emergency care to injured and sick horses (with verbal direction from a veterinarian) including, but not limited to, giving intramuscular shots, taking respiration and pulse, and diagnosing and managing colic, caring for wounds
• Working knowledge of Spanish is preferred but not required Working under the direction of Equine Operations Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Daily Operations o Manage the care, feeding, turnout, and general health and condition of boarder's horses including a daily "once over" of each horse under farm direct care (approximately 80 horses).

o Manage the daily schedule of the staff including advising them as to horse needs (e.g., turnout plans, blanketing, changes in daily routine, etc.) as well as farm maintenance activities (e.g., mowing, spreading, cleaning etc.) for the day. o Written notes each day informing the full-time manager of important discussions with clients, run down of any horses with issues o Emergency horse care (potentially including, but not limited to evening and night checks on sick horses), injured horse care (wrapping, soaking, etc.). Must be able to learn how to give intramuscular shots and work with the vet in managing emergencies before the vet arrives. o Receive and handle all phone messages.

• Maintenance of the property and equipment, including but not limited to dragging arenas, mowing, dragging paddocks, filling water tubs
• Overseeing and, if needed, assisting with turnout
• Communicate with clients, learn to understand how to handle sensitive conversations
• Assist in the creation, planning and operation of several major clinics at the farm each year
• Assist with the farm's nutrient management program and management of pastures
